Academic, Professional, and Social Committees

The academic committee organizes events that are designed to make our school work less stressful and provide help from fellow students. It also takes care of the other academic related services like student advising.

The professional committee organizes programs like industry speakers and ambassador programs help students find jobs and connections.

The social committee organizes events, like dinners and cognitive science related movie nights, bring like-minded students together to meet people or just hang out and relax.

Events

Our activities mostly consist of weekly events that are different each quarter. However, we also have a few popular events that we organize either every quarter or year. Here are a few examples:

Movie Night

Faculty and students come together for a food-filled evening of potluck and cinema. Cognitive Science themes abound as CSB 003 is turned into an after-hours movie theater.

Ambassador Program

Ambitious students explain the skill sets Cognitive Science students have to potential employers.

Cognitive Science Symposium

Freshmen hear it straight from the horse's mouth as faculty, 2nd, 3rd and 4th years get together for all things CogSci.

Cognitive Science Student Conference

Student orgs from any university are welcome at this three day event geared towards sharing and promoting Cognitive Science between campuses.
